With Mike Richards’ abrupt exit from Jeopardy!, LeVar Burton has a second chance at becoming host… and Ryan Reynolds is all for it.

The Canadian actor and “Deadpool” star tweeted his support of the move, writing that he relates to LeVar’s situation. “Pretty consistently from 2013 to 2015, Deadpool would explode on Twitter with fans wanting me to play him. It was awkward, because I agreed with them. But the studio didn’t see it. Ultimately, the fans won, and the rest is glorious history. I’m forever grateful. Hi @levarburton.”

LeVar had been the most vocal about getting the permanent gig as Jeopardy! host. Instead, the job went to Mike Richards, the executive producer of the game show. He lasted only a few days, with his departure being forced after comments from an old podcast and twitter posts surfacing.
