The Rolling Stones will release a new album next month. They cleverly teased it for days through a fake ad for a glass-repair business, placed in a London newspaper.

Last week’s cryptic ad, in the east London-based Hackney Gazette looked to be a promotion for the new business, Hackney Diamonds.

Lines in the ad included: “Our friendly team promises you Satisfaction,” and  “When you say Gimme Shelter, we’ll fix your shattered windows”.

The ad also promises that “the store” would be “open for business” in early September.

Then on Wednesday (8-23), The band posted confirmation with an image that looked to be an album cover and wrote: “Hackney Diamonds, the new Rolling Stones album will publish in September.”
